New Artillery and Rocket Models Added to EWAWS#

The latest update to EWAWS adds four new example configurations for modeling artillery shells and rockets. These models include key aerodynamic and environmental effects relevant to projectile simulation and fire control applications.

Supported physical effects:

  • Spin stabilization (including spin drift and yaw of repose)

  • Environmental influences (wind, pressure, temperature)

New example configurations:

  • Howitzer.rtdcfg (ewaws-howitzer.entity): Direct- or indirect-fire howitzer.

  • MultipleRocketLauncher.rtdcfg (ewaws-multiple-rocket-launcher.entity): Configurable multiple rocket launch system.

  • Generic155mmShell.rtdcfg (weaponlib-generic-155mm-shell.entity): Spin-stabilized 155 mm artillery shell.

  • GenericShortRangeArtilleryRocket.rtdcfg (weaponlib-generic-short-range-artillery-rocket.entity): Aerodynamically stabilized artillery rocket.

These examples can be used as reference configurations or starting points for developing custom munitions and launch systems within EWAWS.
